Excellently situated for hot air balloon flights our Bury St Edmunds launch site is at Nowton Park. The park consists of almost 200 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside, landscaped over 100 years ago in typical Victorian style with many country estate features still remaining.

Situated in the heart of Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds is a beautiful medieval market town boasting a Cathedral and a wealth of history and charm.

With an intricate array of cobbled streets and the picturesque Abbey Gardens housing the ruins of a Benedictine Abbey, Bury St Edmunds is renowned for its charm and character. The town is also well known for the famous Green King Brewery, which has brewed ale in the Suffolk area for over 200 years.

From Nowton Park your hot air balloon ride may take you over picturesque Suffolk villages such as Lavenham and Long Melford or offer you fantastic and unique views of fabulous country houses such as Ickworth, Kentwell and Melford Hall. Newmarket, the home of British horse racing is nearby as well as Ely Cathedral, which can be seen for miles.  On a clear day you may also catch a glimpse of some famous London landmarks on the horizon.

Facilities

Nowton Park has ample pay and display parking and a lovely picnic area so if you choose you could arrive early with family or friends and enjoy a picnic before your ballooning adventure. Toilet facilities are available at the Rangers Centre on site.
